Bucks in the Boro!

Bucks in the Boro is a campaign put on by the town of Walterboro encouraging locals to shop locally instead of coming to the "big city" of Charleston to shop.  All the local businesses are involved, and if you shop at one of the local stores, they give you a nice "Bucks in the Boro" tote bag!

The Mr. and I traveled to Walterboro on Saturday.  It didn't take us long from our house to get there.  In fact, it's shorter (time wise) for us to go to Walterboro than down town Charleston when you factor in parking. 

Walterboro has a small "cute" downtown area with lots of little shops.  The two that I have been to are Colleton's Fine Clothing and Especially Yours Too.  I plan to take my mother-in-law to Walterboro when she visits us next because there is lots of antique shopping to be found in the 'boro!

Oh!  The food we ate!  Duke's BBQ!!  Don't think you can beat that!!

So, if you are looking for a day trip somewhere and enjoy to shop, consider the Boro!!

Savannah You ROCK!

I don't have kids yet, but I hope, when I do, him/her will be as AWESOME as Savannah!



I saw this story originally on the Today Show; Suvannah and her parents were interviewed. She was so shy and as "quiet as a mouse" on the show!

Fresh Coffee Anyone?

Saw this on the work coffee pot! It's hard to read in the picture below, but it states "this pot of coffee was made at..." Then the bottom cup serves as a dial and has the hours and minutes of the day listed.

Clever huh?

At My Local Home Depot

Happy New Year! 
I always wish I was carrying the camera when I don't have it. We went for a quick trip to Home Depot to pick up a few things to fix up the rental for the new renters (side note: praise the Lord it is rented for two more years). When we were driving out of the parking lot, my husband pointed out a couple in matching camouflage jackets (the one's hunters wear).  I was thinking "how cute (not really) they match."  When we drove by them, the women was carrying a Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy!  What an interesting combo!  The perfect mix of Soirees & Shenanigans don't you think?  Only in this country town!
