Operation Repo = The Definition of Shenanigans

I will be the first to say that this show is completely trashy, and if my mother knew her baby girl watched this, she would probably ring my neck (ouch!).  However, this show makes me laugh so hard I sometimes cry.

I promised a "shout out" in this post to friends MM & her Huntmaster Hubby, as they suggested this post.  Here's their review of the show: "We didn't watch op repo last night, but a couple weeks ago, I was about to wet my pants it was so funny!"

Their theme song to a Mexican tune (apparently it's Puerto Rican after reading YouTube comments...let's be PC people) and their tag line of "It ain't no joke if you don't pay that note" makes me giggle just thinking of it.

The show comes on tru TV Monday nights at 10PM. You have to check it out at least once!  I promise you will get more than a few chuckles out of it!  If anything, you'll never forget or miss a car payment ever (again?) for fear these jokers will show up in your driveway!

I guess I am not the only one who watches the show because it appears the lead guy in the show, Lou, is the producer of their upcoming movie.  The movie seems absolutely ridiculous (p.s. it was supposed to come out in 2008, but hasn't yet)!  The plot of the movie is they repo a Dodge Magnum, as they do all the time in the show, and they happen to upset these "thugs." Well, they kidnap the head guy's daughter, Lyndah,  as revenge, so Lou and the gang "take the law in their own hands" to fight these thugs to get Lyndah back (the movie trailer shows a scene were Lou states "No cops" (what a role model?)).  Just a guess, but I think if this ever comes out it will be rated R (duh!).

I wonder if they will have a Red Carpet Movie Premiere for this movie!  If so, sign me up!  I'll bet you'll to go too (wink)!  How 'bout those Shenanigas?

Cougars stun North Carolina

The title of this post is taken straight out of the local paper! College of Charleston beats UNC last night in overtime (82-79). C of C has only done this 3 times! I'm proud to say the other 2 times were when I was a student at C of C! It was nice to wake up this morning and gloat to my naysayer husband when the 5AM news announced the big win! Go Cougars!! You're C of C pictures and paraphernalia in my home are earning their keep (althought the husband asked if I wanted to take them to work with me this morning)!
That naysayer husband of mine is a Boilermaker. For the Southerners out there, that is Purdue, a “little” school in Indiana where most of the Astronauts went to school and where my husband graduated! No ladies (and gentlemen?), he isn’t an Astronaut rather an Agronomist (“what’s that,” you say….we’ll talk about later).

Back to basketball…I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that the Boilermakers are currently UNDEFEATED (Boiler Up). So, it looks like we are going to have a pretty good basketball season at our house if I didn't just jinx it. (We won’t talk about those football shenanigans…don’t mention it!)

Happy Tuesday!  If you get bored today, tune in ESPN. C of C is all over that!!

Waffle Woes

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been going store to store to find my "every morning breakfast food," Kashi Heart to Heart Honey Oat Waffles.  I've tried every waffle brand, but nothing matches up to these (especially in that calorie range).  After Wal-Mart didn't have them for the 2nd week in a row, I put a hunt out on the web to find if my "every morning breakfast food" was no long (I would be so sad).
Come to find out, I am not the only one with the Waffle Woes.  Many people have gone to their website searching for the same answers.  Kashi is experiencing delays in production.
Here is what they said: "We are experiencing delays in production due to repairs and equipment upgrades at our waffle facility. We expect to be fully stocked in the middle of 2010 and will be posting updates about when our waffles will be back on shelf."
MIDDLE of 2010...are you kidding....what am I supposed to do until then?  I have been eating these every day for two years!  I hope they post a coupon or two for all experiencing these Waffle Woes!!!
Planning a Waffle Soiree in the frozen food isle in Mid 2010 when they return....details to come!

At My Local Home Depot

Happy New Year!
I always wish I was carrying the camera when I don't have it. We went for a quick trip to Home Depot to pick up a few things to fix up the rental for the new renters (side note: praise the Lord it is rented for two more years). When we were driving out of the parking lot, my husband pointed out a couple in matching camouflage jackets (the one's hunters wear).  I was thinking "how cute (not really) they match."  When we drove by them, the women was carrying a Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy!  What an interesting combo!  The perfect mix of Soirees & Shenanigans don't you think?  Only in this country town!
